The Massachusetts Enhanced Emissions & Safety Test is now in effect for all motor vehicles registered in the Commonwealth, including buses and trucks. The safety test, as always, will be given every year. The emissions test, however, will be given every other year. Together, the safety and emissions tests take 35 minutes. They're available at 1,200 inspection stations across the Commonwealth. The fee is $29.
